Plan for A5X's arrival, not just its announcement
Google Cloud's Vera Rubin capacity has a rollout timetable and regional dependencies.

Conceptual editorial illustration. Announcement dated 21 October 2026.
What happened
Google Cloud and NVIDIA announced A5X instances using Vera Rubin NVL72 infrastructure. Ineffable Intelligence has early access. Google Cloud plans infrastructure scaling to as many as 960,000 Rubin GPUs across multiple sites.
Why it matters
Cloud roadmaps influence capacity commitments before regional availability and commercial terms are settled. Delivery planning needs dates and locations that fit the workload.
My take
I would keep research access, service launch and regional readiness as separate milestones. An infrastructure announcement should inform planning without becoming an assumed production dependency.

Primary sourceAvailability & scope
A5X general availability is planned for November 2026, with expansion to Europe planned.
My operating checks
- 01Which region and quota are contractually available to our workload?
- 02What is the migration plan if launch timing changes?
- 03How will we benchmark complete training and inference costs?
Keep the context
The scale figure is a plan, not installed capacity. The headline does not mean current general availability.
Operating questions are proposed diligence, not claims of performed work. Analysis is prepared with AI assistance and checked against the named primary sources.
