What happened

DoH and Isomorphic Labs signed an MoU on AI-enabled drug discovery. The parties aim to develop a 24-month roadmap for selected pre-clinical projects within Abu Dhabi’s Trusted Research Environment.

Why it matters

The operating challenge is to connect research ambition with defined data access, validation methods and programme decisions. A protected environment is one component of that system.

My take

Operating view: agree on evidence milestones before selecting a large portfolio. Each project should state the scientific uncertainty it addresses and the result that would justify further investment.

My operating checks

  1. 01How will candidate projects be selected and prioritised?
  2. 02What data-access and research responsibilities will each party hold?
  3. 03Which findings must be independently reproduced before progression?

Keep the context

The collaboration does not establish an approved medicine or completed clinical programme.

Operating questions are proposed diligence, not claims of performed work. Analysis is prepared with AI assistance and checked against the named primary sources.
